Legend Rare Coin Auctions Auction The Regency Auction 33 Jun-2019 What a fantastic looking, totally original Bust dime. Boasting a classic old time look with a thick pewter, dove, battleship, slate, and powder blue patina with rose overtones, this coin has a timeless visual allure that cannot be beat. The surfaces are satiny and smooth, free of any distractions and the devices, fully formed from a forceful blow from the dies. The eye appeal is exceptional in every way. Capped Bust dimes are rarely encountered with a wonderful, even and totally original patination. What a great type coin! PCGS 73, NGC 79, CAC 21. The most recent example to sell was NOT CAC and was NOT as original as this beauty and sold for $3,360. The current PCGS value is listed at $3,250 and like all bust coinage, the population is quite low in GEM grades. A great coin for a type or date set. Cert. Number 25514758 PCGS # 4527.00
