||1861 Three-Dollar Gold Piece. AU-58 (PCGS). Ample satin luster to both sides, the fields also revealing modest hints of semi reflectivity at more direct angles. The color is a blend of bold copper-rose and olive-gold shades that accents nearly complete striking detail. The 1861 is a very scarce Civil War-era Three with just 5,959 business strikes produced.
