Legend Rare Coin Auctions Auction The Regency Auction 37 Mar-2020 FROM THE SEATTLE COLLECTION What an impressive GEM example for the date, ranking among the FINEST graded at either service; PCGS has graded nothing finer than MS66+. Brilliant nickel-silver surfaces glow with a bold, lustrous mint vibrancy on both sides. Just a touch of striking weakness keeps this PQ beauty from full definition in the shield. Every other detail is sharp. Satiny smooth surfaces are devoid of any serious traces of contact or any discolorations. PCGS 16, NGC 5, CAC 8. This coin sold 14 years ago for $4,600, at a time when the population was only 5, and none finer. While today the Collectors Universe value is listed at only $2,500 and the CAC CPG value is $2,750, this coin will see very strong bidding from the specialist collector. Only seven MS66+ coins have been graded finer, making this a great coin for any advanced collection. Cert. Number 7961998 PCGS # 3797.00
