Legend Rare Coin Auctions Auction The Regency Auction XXIII October 2017 Oct-2017 D.W. COLLECTION. NOT your average toned gem Seated half! This is a beautifully toned and exceptionally well preserved superb looking GEM. The devices are razor sharp in definition. A bold luster brings out the subtleties in the various shades in the ancient toning. The toning is very similar to many Seated Liberty coins that came out of the Eliasberg (and other old time collections), and has a great visual appeal. PCGS 23, NGC 18, CAC 7. The most recent PCGS/CAC coin sold in a June 2017 auction, realizing $4,465. This coin is from the 2006 Central States auction, where it sold for $5,175. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,850. Keep in mind that only two coins are graded finer, the finest being a MS67, that sold last year for $18,800. This eye appealing GEM should sell for a strong price. Destined for a fine type set or collection of Seated halves. Cert. Number 07863537 PCGS # 6357
