Stack's Bowers Auction August 2018 ANA U.S. Coins Auction Philadelphia, PA Aug-2018 1884-CC Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-67 (PCGS). A brilliant and frosty Superb Gem with just a dash of golden iridescence to be noted on each side. Well struck and showing subtle evidence of die clashing throughout. With 962,638 coins included therein, the 1884-CC is the most common Morgan dollar represented in the various GSA sales of the 1970s. This total represents a staggering 84.60% of the issue's mintage of 1,136,000 pieces. While we handle numerous Uncirculated examples of this issue in any given year, few grade finer than MS-66.
