Legend Rare Coin Auctions Auction The Regency Auction 33 Jun-2019 What a high end, thickly frosted SUPERB GEM. Based on the look, we suspect this coin was originally housed in a GSA holder before being submitted for grading. The luster is frosty with a warm, pearly glow. The devices are sharply struck with a thick frost that is a delight to behold. A tick or two here are noted under a strong glass, noted solely for the sake of full disclosure, this beautiful 85-CC is bound to delight even the pickiest of collectors. PCGS 100, NGC 98. Just seven are graded finer, 6 in 67+, and a monster 68+. The most recent example sold in April 2019 for $7,800 and in March 2019, one sold for $7,800 and one for $9,000. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $11,000. Keep in mind no MS67+ has ever sold in auction, and the 68+ sold in our September 2015 Regency Sale of the Coronet Collection, which realized $135,125! What a great coin for an advanced Morgan dollar set! We know bidding will be fierce for this SUPERB GEM! Cert. Number 37380232 PCGS # 7160
