Legend Rare Coin Auctions Auction The Regency Auction 27 Jul-2018 From the RanJack Collection. A SUPERB example. A slightly lower mintage date Morgan with only 750,000 struck. This remarkable survivor ranks among the top dozen graded, and there are only FIVE coins at PCGS that grade finer. Offering a strong, rolling cartwheel mint luster on both sides, this 86-S looks like an 82-S. Sharply struck on both sides, the devices offer a strong frosty look. The surfaces are totally smooth and devoid of any serious marks, lines, or discolorations that detract from the excellent eye appeal. PCGS 53, NGC 16, CAC 17. There are seven coins graded MS66+ at PCGS. None have ever sold in auction. Regular MS66s graded PCGS/CAC have sold in the $7,763 to $12,925 and the most recent PCGS MS67 (not CAC) brought $39,950 in October 2016. The current PCGS value is listed at $11,500 and when the gavel finally falls on this magnificent GEM, that level will have to be adjusted upward. We know that there will be a fierce battle to bring this prize home! Good luck! Cert. Number 81958780 PCGS # 7170
