Goldberg Auctioneers Auction June 2018 Pre-Long Beach Auction #104 U.S. Coins Jun-2018 Lot 1499 1890. PCGS graded MS-67. CAC.Lovely rainbow toning on both sides. Reflective surfaces as commonly seen on these scarce coins. Low mintage of 12,000. That means the dies never had a chance to wear down and lose their polish. Thus it is not uncommon to find these low mintage half dollars with strong reflectivity in the fields. This also means that the fields show every tiny contact mark, hence it is difficult to find these in gem or finer grades. Certainly should be regraded to MS67+. Pop 5; 1 in 67+.(PCGS # 6372) Estimate Value $14,000 - 15,000
