Legend Rare Coin Auctions Auction The Regency Auction 30 Jan-2019 FROM THE STAR CITY CAC MORGAN COLLECTION. Ex Coronet Collection. This was the Coronet duplicate, sold after the Prooflike Eliasberg coin was added to that world class set. We will say this from the outset, this coin is no slouch either! Bold, swirling cartwheel luster has a strong vibrance on both sides. This coin has a GEM eye appeal imparted by a bold for the date strike and generally clean, problem free surfaces. Only the slightest touches of contact can be seen under the aid of a strong glass. Traces of semi-reflective luster does flash in the fields when the coin is rotated in the light. Another low mintage issue, with just 300,000 struck. RARE in MS64 and extremely so any finer. PCGS 93, NGC 32, CAC 20. Only a dozen coins are graded numerically finer, with the Monster $400,000+ MS66 PL Eliasberg-Coronet coin as the FINEST KNOWN. In MS64, as here, the last PCGS MS64 CAC to sell in auction was the RanJack coin that we sold in our July 2018 Regency Auction for $35,250. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $20,000 and this one will likely sell for well in excess of that price level. A real prize for any advanced collection. Cert. Number 82160543 PCGS # 7224
