Legend Rare Coin Auctions Auction The Regency Auction 26 May-2018 Legend Rare Coin Auctions is proud to present the FINEST KNOWN 1914-D cent in any color designation! This is the SOLE MS66+ RD graded at either service. The 1914-D saw a lower mintage, fewer than 1.2 million were struck, and while the 1909-S V.D.B. had a much lower mintage, as a first year of issue, they were saved in large numbers. Few collectors took note of the low mintage of 1914-Ds until most had gone into circulation. Highly sought in all Mint State grades, and rarely seen in a full RED designation, this brilliant RED GEM has a lovely satin-like sheen that really brings out the superb color. Very well produced for the date, with solid definition to the details. No distracting marks or flecks detract from the exceptional eye appeal, although a tiny tick or two can be seen with a powerful glass. This awe-inspiring SUPERB GEM stands alone at the top of the pop and is a trophy for the most advanced Lincoln cent specialist. PCGS 1, NGC 0. Both services have graded a combined total of ten coins in MS66 RD. The current Collector's Universe value is listed at $175,000. If you are building the FINEST set or top ranking Registry Set, you cannot let this important opportunity pass you by! Who knows when the chance to own the SINGLE highest grade 14-D will present itself again--bid accordingly! Cert. Number 85746350 PCGS # 2473
