Stack's Bowers | Auction | The March 2013 Baltimore Auction | Feb-2013 | 1924-D Standing Liberty Quarter. MS-67 FH (PCGS). Secure Holder. The offered coin has essentially brilliant surfaces with great luster and eye appeal. The strike is formidable with strong definition on Liberty's head and most of the usual areas that are seldom seen sharp. Trace softness on the two most challenged shield bosses, but after all this is a 1924-D, not one of the more sharply struck issues by and large. Even under high magnification this coin has great eye appeal, surface characteristics, and everything else desired. This is just one of two examples so certified by PCGS with none seen finer in the Full Head designation. Another key to the Standing Liberty quarter set in absolutely superlative condition.
