Legend Rare Coin Auctions Auction The Regency Auction 30 Jan-2019 This is by far one of the most beautifully toned repunched mintmark 1938-D/S you will ever see. If you liked the one we sold in our September 2018 Regency Auction, you will LOVE this one! Vivid rose-pink and orange tone blends with gold, emerald, and sky blue pastel iridescent toning mixes wonderfully together in a nearly tie-dyed pattern, each hue boldly accented by the superb lustrous surfaces. The strike is bold, and needless to say the eye appeal is easily described as MONSTER! PCGS 266, NGC 12, CAC 41. Only 29 coins are graded MS67+ and the most recent to sell in auction was the above cited coin in our September 2018 Regency Auction that realized $3,878; prior to that, one sold for $4,080 in June 2018 and one sold for $3,525 in the 2017 ANA auction. The current PCGS value is listed at $4,650. There is just a single example graded MS68 at PCGS, a coin that PCGS estimates a value of $35,000! What a gorgeous coin that is truly worthy of a premium bid from the toned Buffalo aficionado. We can see this SUPERG GEM bringing a very strong bid. Cert. Number 36613826 PCGS # 3985
