Legend Rare Coin Auctions Auction The Regency Auction 30 Jan-2019 This is not just a monster, it is a mega monster beyond what most people can comprehend! Mother Nature wanted to make sure she did her best work ever on this piece-and she did. We equate this monster to the 1904-O PCGS MS67 (the second finest in the Northern Collection) which brought a record $39,850.00 (vs the 80-S PCGS MS68+ CAC that brought $60,000.00). You all know about the 1958 PCGS MS67+ FBL CAC that realized an insane $129,250.00 in our September Regency Sale. Listen to this story: the collector who consigned this coin is a known long time wild toner buyer. He came up to us with this coin shaking his head. " I was offered both coins (the 58) and I thought his coin was much better" Funny how life goes. You can see they most likely were from the same collection. The colors are identical. The only difference, this coin only graded a 66+ FBL as it has a microscopic tick or two (well hidden). The rest of the technical qualities are just fine. Regardless, this coin is to die to for for toner lovers! Legend Rare Coin Auctions is honored to have been consigned this "mini me" to the grand 1958. Take nothing away from this coin. It has the same $100,000.00 colors as the other. If you are going to bid, be prepared for really strong bidding that could make the earth shake! It was very hard to figure a realistic estimate (we may be very low). Good luck! Cert. Number 36650361 PCGS # 3790
