Coin collecting became very popular in the 1850's that several entities re-struck coins with original dies. Such was the case with the 1787 Fugio Cents since they were so popular during that era. It is believed that the Scovill Manufacturing Company struck these 1787 Fugio Cent reproductions which were later distributed by Horatio Rust.
