The 1993-S Jefferson Comemmorative Dollars were struck to celebrate the 250th birth of Thomas Jefferson. This was a very popular Comemmorative at the time of issue that the entire Mint State and Proof mintage of the Jefferson Commemorative Dollars was completely sold out.

Obverse: The obverse features Thomas Jefferson. It has the inscriptions, Thomas Jefferson Architect of Democracy, In God We Trust 1743 Liberty 1993."

Reverse: The reverse shows Jefferson's home Monticello. The reverse has the inscriptions, E Pluribus Unum, One Dollar.
