The 1994-W Women in Military Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar was struck to fund the first major memorial dedicated to the Women who have served in the military. The Memorial is located at the Ceremonial Entrance of the Arlington National Cemetery.

Obverse: The obverse of the coin features several women from the military standing next to each other. It has the inscriptions, Army, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, Liberty, In God We Trust and 1994.

Reverse: The reverse shows the Hemicycle, part of the Memorial dedicated to all the women in the military. The reverse has the inscriptions, United States of America, Women in Military Service Memorial, One Dollar and E Pluribus Unum."
