The 1999-P Dolley Madison Commemorative Silver Dollar was struck to commemorate Dolley Madison. The Dolley Madison Commemorative Silver Dollar was also the first coin to ever honor a First Lady.

Obverse: Features a depiction of Dolley Madison surrounded by a bouquet of Cape Jasmine flowers and in the background is Montpelier. The obverse has the inscriptions Liberty, In God We Trust, Dolley Madison and 1999.

Reverse: The reverse of the coin features Montpelier with its lush willow trees and foliage in the background.
