The 1875 Indian Cent with FS-801 Snow-16 variety, has a small unusual raised dot on the reverse of the coin, on top of the “N” in “One.” Some experts believe the raised dot on the “N” of “One” was intentionally added, to try and catch a Mint employee who was suspected of stealing coins. Whether the story is true or not, this variety has caught the attention of many collectors who eventually try to find or add this variety to their collections. Examples of this variety are scarce, especially in Mint State condition.
