On September 27, 2012 the U.S. Mint issued a Limited Edition Silver Proof Set. The Limited Edition Silver Set contained a Regular 2012-W Proof Silver Eagle, 2012-S Silver Proof Kennedy Half Dollar, the 5 different 2012-S America the Beautiful Proof Silver Quarters including the El Yunque Quarter and finally, a 2012-S Proof Silver Dime. The Set contained 8 different coins in total and had an issue price of $149.95 each directly from the U.S. Mint.
The set did not contain any new coin issues as the coins in the Set had already been issued either as single coin option or in previously issued 2012 coin sets. The only difference to the coins is the presentation packaging in which the coins were sold. The Set had a limited mintage of no more than 50,000 sets produced.
