PCGS Set Registry Update

Queen Elizabeth II was crowned on June 2, 1953. During this year, 9 different denominations were introduced bearing the Queen's effigy which was designed by Royal Mint engraver Mary Gillick. This silhouette portrait is one the most simplistic designs that graced British coinage from 1953 to 1968. It wasn't until 1969, that a new obverse was created for coinage of Great Britain. This one penny coin shown above is part of a set PCGS has recently listed titled 1953 British Mint Set.

Additional sets from various countries have been added, so please feel free to browse the PCGS Set Registry when you have a chance and you may find there is a set for almost anyone to build. The PCGS Set Registry offers many different sets from all over the world and specialty sets for advanced collectors. We appreciate your continued patronage, all the best in building your sets, and Happy Collecting, folks!
