1792 was literally a ground-breaking year for the U.S. Mint and these are the coins that started it all – the Pattern issues of 1792! Most of these coins were made by people directly associated with the Mint or on equipment destined for the not-as-yet-constructed Mint buildings. This small (but incredibly meaningful) set contains: Silver Center Cent, Birch Cent, Washington Patterns by Peter Getz, Half Disme, Disme, and Quarter Dollar. All of them -- with the exception of the 1792 Washington "Small Eagle" Cent and the 1792 Half Disme -- are extremely rare. But, what a historic set this is!
