About This Set: CAC Complete Set!
It is my opinion that most if not all of the top five or so sets must meet certain criteria. First, each coin should be graded by PCGS the most respected and conservative grading service. PCGS coins in most cases bring much higher prices at auction and in the general marketplace. Second all coins should have the CAC sticker which states that the coin is "solid or at the top of its grade". About 15% of all coins are CAC. This is VERY hard to accomplish and ever more so for copper and DMPL's. CAC is extremely tough on these coins.

Most coins should also have "eye appeal". This is true more so with Silver coins. It is easy to spend whatever it takes and simply "buy the grade". However, I am sure most people would agree that if you look at 20 coins of the same grade, perhaps three would stand out. It is these that should be in top sets.

Lastly, In most cases, for the most part I do not believe in paying crazy prices simply to beat other registry people. If a coin is superb I pay the price but there has to be a limit.

Paying crazy prices seems to defeat the purpose of being patient and collecting. I see many coins selling for 50-100% more than what they are worth because two set people want them. Sure on occasion I pay record prices but there again there is a limit.

This is a complete CAC set.I have given up on trying to build the top set of all time.

There are either no or very few CAC Indians in many of the tops grades.
If you look at the PCGS Registry Lincolns and Indians are two of the most collected series.

In my opinion collectors of these sets go above and beyond what is a reasonable price to pay for
MS 67's and some 66's. To me at least, the prices
make no sense.

I challenge the top set owners to see how many of their coins will CAC. It will be FAR less than they think.
Another reason I am done with almost all set building is the new PCGS top pop bonus rules.

This rewards the current top sets and makes it impossible to compete with them.

I love Indians but I am done and will probably sell this set.
