About This Set: From 2016 to 2018, this was the first 100% complete set of the then required forty Canadian Victoria Ten Cents with Varieties, Circulation Strikes. These coins required over fifteen years to assemble. The search continues for the newly added varieties. Much more challenging than expected were the 1858 5/5 (pop 7, pop top), 1870 Wide 0 1/1 8/8 (pop 3, 1 higher in 65+), 1870 Wide 0/0 (pop 2, tied pop top), 1875-H wide date even 5 (MS65, key date solo pop top), 1886 Small 6/6 (1 in MS62, 1 higher in 63), 1886 Pointed 6 (1 in MS64, 1 higher in 66), 1889 (key date, Tennant/Lathrop/Norweb, 4 in MS 63, 2 higher 1 in 64 and 1 in 66) and 1892/1 (MS62 key overdate, solo pop top). When possible, coins were selected with vivid original toning and surfaces. Pedigrees include Belzberg, Canadiana, George Cook, Eliasberg, Hendler, Landon, Lathrop, Norweb, Old Colony, Pelletier, Peres Redemptorist, Pittman, Rogozinski, Southern Cross and Tennant along with a few contributions from a close friend and long time collector JY. Enjoy!
