Heritage Auctions Description: 1839 1C Booby Head, N-11, R.1, MS64 Brown PCGS. Ex: Naftzger / Holmes Collections. An early die state with a sharp berry beneath the TE in UNITED. This well-pedigreed cent displays slightly dusky rose-red and apple-green toning. Marks are limited to a few tiny ticks, and the satiny surfaces are attractive despite a couple of subtle powder-blue freckles on the jaw and the Y in LIBERTY. Our EAC grade MS60. Ex: Joseph A.
