About This Set: I started collecting coins when I was in elementary school in the mid 1950’s. I didn’t have much money to spend, so naturally concentrated on pennies. I’d go to the bank and buy rolls to search through eventually progressing to bags. I was able to find almost all of the Lincoln’s and quite a few Indians. I actually found a VF 1922 plain before it was included in the Red Book.

My grandfather gave me several Indian cents and a couple of large cents that he had put back.

After high school I had a pretty good job and some money to spend so I purchased a BU (later graded MS64RB) 09-S VDB for $73.50. My parents thought I was crazy!

Over the years I purchased several BU Lincolns and a 1933-1959 BU set.

I resisted slabbed coins until 2017 when I had my S-VDB and 22 plain certified. While attending the ANA Money Show in 2018 I visited with Andy Skrabalak (Angel Dee’s) and decided to get serious about my Lincoln’s. I purchased several at the Dallas Show, sent 20 of my raw coins to PCGS for certification, bought more from online dealers and eBay until I completed my PCGS registered Classic Set
