About This Set: BOTBOTW: (1878 ~ 1893) - The Carson City Morgan dollar low ball set is a very challenging endeavor to undertake. Several of these coins have spent much of their time traveling across the country for years no doubt. This set represents the third complete set with each Carson City PO01 showcasing different looks and some tough VAMs newly graded. How many were in a saloon in some poker game being tossed around? Or spent buying a ticket for the stagecoach? Samuel Clemens aka: Mark Twain was working in Carson City as a writer for the newspaper during the early years of the Morgan dollar run before going east to make his fortune. During this time the mint shut down after 1885 and was back in operation in mid 1889. The mint finally struck its final Morgan dollars in 1893 and remained viable until the Federal Treasury closed it down. Some of the dies left behind were shipped to the New Orleans mint and some of the 1900 struck coins retain portions of the "CC"" on the reverse. Lots of stories could be told about the Carson City dollars. Even to this day it holds a special place in history especially when the GSA sales were going on in the early 1970s that had collectors scrambling for these CC Morgan dollars. The third time is a charm. Three different Carson City PO01 sets after years of searching has finally now been completed. The description tells the story rather well and another chapter in this never ending saga ends. Thank you for breaking trail.

Awesome set! Love the intro! My favorite thing about lowball is wondering how many times a coin had to be handled to look like that and these have definitely been there and bought that! Thanks for showing it!
