1856-O 25C AU58 Certification #42170076, PCGS #5439
Expert Comments
Ron Guth
The 1856-O Quarter Dollar is not a particularly rare coin, but it is a date that is quite scarce in Mint State. The majority of the dozen or so Mint State examples certified by PCGS fall into the MS63 to MS64 grade range, and the finest example is a single PCGS MS65.
The strike quality on this date is generally strong, with only occasional weakness on a couple of the stars near Liberty's head.
