1894-O 50C MS64 Certification #15658009, PCGS #6469

The 1894-O Half Dollar is slightly more common in Mint State than is the 1894, which is really not surprising since the mintage of the 1894-O is almost twice that of the 1894.  Most of the currently-certified examples post up as MS64.  Gem examples are scarce, but this is one of the few dates in the series which is represented by a PCGS MS68 example (but only one!).  The strike quality on this date is definitely better than on the 1893-O, though occasionally an example shows up with a weak talon on the viewer's right side of the reverse.

The 1894-O is not only a low mintage issue by any means, but mint state examples are definitely scarce. In Gem condition, this issue is very rare...
