1908-D 10C AU58 Certification #10980593, PCGS #4847

Owner's Comments

It doesn't matter what coin/series you collect, this coin is perfect, and had to be put away a long time ago. Dark toning at the rims to only slightly lighten up towards the centers. If a collector was to put together the dream "crusty" set this would be a must have coin. Total PCGS AU population is 31 with 14 in AU 58. The BCCS rating is R1.

The 1908-D Dime is easy to obtain in most grades, including Mint State.  As with most Barber Dimes, the typical grades are MS63 and MS64.  However, in this case, there are quite a few Superb pieces that have survived.  MS67's dominate the PCGS CoinFacts Condition Census, with MS67+ being the very best grade.

The strike quality of the 1908-D is generally strong.

One interesting collecting option is to obtain as many different mintmark positions as possible.
