The 1987-S Proof Silver Eagle is the second coin struck in the series for the Proof and Uncirculated Silver Eagles. The 1987-S Proof Silver Eagle was very popular and has one of the highest mintages in the series. A little over 904 thousand were struck. Most examples came in about PR69 Deep Cameo quality. While perfect PR70 examples were much scarcer to find.
