The 1994-D World Cup Half Dollar was produced to celebrate the first World Soccer game which took place in the U.S.

Obverse: The obverse of the coin depicts a male soccer player running after a soccer ball. In the background is the date 1994, the year in which the coins were issued. To the left is the word, Liberty and to the right of the design are the words, In God We Trust.

Reverse: On the reverse of the coin it displays the words, United States of America towards the top of the design. Towards the center of the coin are two laurel branches with leaves. The inscriptions, World Cup USA94, are underlined above the image of a flag and soccer ball, which is the logo of the World Cup in 1994. Below the logo are the words, E Pluribus Unum. Arched below the coins design are the words Half Dollar or the denomination of the coin.
