The U.S. Mint first began selling the 2003-P First Flight Uncirculated Commemorative Half Dollars on August 01, 2003. The coins were struck to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Wring Brothers flight near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina in December 17, 1903.
