The 2010 $50 Uncirculated Gold Buffalo's went on sale on April 29, 2010. The coins were only offered to U.S. Mint Authorized Purchasers, who then, turn around and sell the coins to the public at a small premium over the spot price of gold.

Each Uncirculated Gold Buffalo contains one ounce of .9999 pure 24 karat gold.

There were no Fractional Proof or Mint State Gold Buffalo coins issued this year, only the One Ounce Uncirculated and Proof Gold Buffalo coins were produced in 2010 for the Gold Buffalo series .
