About This Set:
This magnificent set of mint state Liberty Nickels is a tone lovers dream, with enough blazing white coins to also satisfy the traditionalist. This collector began creating a gem set almost four years ago. About 1/2 way through, he had the good fortune to be able to buy the Frank Thomas set intact. The current Typetone Set is the best of both.
The set features a blazing white 1891 in MS66, only one of seven so graded. The key date 1885 and 1886 pieces are blast white MS65 gems. But, the real crown jewels are the magnificently toned pieces; the 1883 in MS66, the 1884 in MS65, the 1910 in MS66, the 1912 in MS65, and the 1912D (MS66) and 1912S (MS65) masterpieces in deep purple, orange, red, and gold.
This collector plans to continue to improve the set, by acquiring beautiful MS66s as they become available.
