COMMENTS

Jefferson nickels have been my passion for over 30 years. I have been a coin collector since I was a child. My grandfather was a pharmacist and owned a drug store back in the 50's. He would occasionly get silver dollars at the store and he kept them for the grandkids. That got me started and I graduated into Lincolns and other other coins that I could find in pocket change. I read an article by Bill Fivaz published in Coin World on August 29, 1979. "Taking the fuss out of "Full Steps" nickels". From that moment on I was hooked. I traveled for a living and the only way I could find high grade nickels was to purchase all the rolls I could get my hand on and sort thru them in the motel that night. It's taken years and my set is far from complete but I did it all on a small budget and a lot of passion. It has truly been fun.
