About This Set: In process of certifying this collection put together in the 1970s and encased in Capital Plastics holder until this year. Jim Carr of Crystal Coins at the time helped me over several years. The original Jim Carr coins are indicated with the grades from PCGS. As you can see coins believed to be "Gem BU" came back from PCGS less than that with the 32-S, 34-D, and 36-D returned as "cleaned". The 32-D came back as a "slider" AU-58. Others have been upgraded. The grades they've been getting from PCGS have not been what I'd hoped (are they ever?); MS64 seems to be the PCGS 'flavor-of-the-year'!; but is my intention to upgrade whenever affordability and opportunity present themselves.
