Liberty Head $5 Gold, Proof (1839-1858)
Talk about prohibitive Rarities! As this is being written PCGS has graded only seven examples from this early series. The mintages of the coins are incredibly low, such as five for one date and three for another! Once you get used to the fact that Rarity is spelled with a capital R on these coins, you can relax in the knowledge that there’s a great challenge ahead. Are you the one who’s going to take it?
