While not as rare as the pre-1859 issues, the $5 Liberty Proofs of 1859-1907 still make a tremendous collection that has rarely been completed. The classic issue of 1875 is the #1 rarity of the set, or, as some argue, maybe it isn't, and we need to look more closely at the 1860 or 1861 as the ultimate coins. Either way, this will make you as famous as a numismatist can be when you finish it, so let’s get started!
