About This Set: Each year was its own design type and the $10 proof 2008-W is the percentage KING of all Platinum Eagles (~72% of the next lowest pop). In 12 years of production, the mint only sold 164,481 $10 Proof APEs and only 1,387 (11.25.2009) are graded PCGS PR70DC with fewer than 10% of those designated First Strike (128 as of 11.25.2009). My "Owner's Comments" show the U.S. Mint's reported sales numbers and in parenthesis is the difference relative to the median (2006) sales numbers.
