20th Anniversary Eagles, Circulation Strikes and Proof (2006)

The American Eagle program celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2006 and to mark the occasion, several special coins and sets were issued. A three-piece $50 gold set containing an Uncirculated, Proof and Reverse Proof coin, a-two piece, 1 ounce Gold and Silver Dollar set and a 2006 Silver Dollar reverse Proof were all offered to the collecting community. This six piece set is not difficult to complete and has proven popular. Note however, that around a dozen participants have achieved a perfect set rating of 70 so standing out from the crowd won't be easy.
