About This Set: The 1949 coins were never released for circulation. Most were melted. The few that were not melted made it into the hands of a few collectors. To the best of my knowledge, it was never legal tender in Mexico.

There's a 1949 PCGS peso list on eBay 3/1/25. Be careful it's a counterfeit.
