About This Set: This set is based on the outstanding book US Trade Dollar: Rarity, Collection Types, and Top 37 Varieties by Joe Kirchgessner.

All of these varieties are difficult, and several are nearly impossible. Any set containing more than a handful of these coins likely required years to assemble and should be considered a laudable accomplishment.

The vast majority of my coins are chopmarked, as that is my primary area of interest when it comes to trade dollars. However, even excluding the proofs, this set is incompletable if it relies solely on chopmarked coins. It may be incompletable even without that limitation. Time will tell.
