1878 8TF $1 VAM 14.6 Dot on Ear MS64PL PCGS #40157

A This is a PRISTINE 14.6 with NO die crack at 5 o'clock. Super difficult coin.

1878 8TF $1 VAM 14.6 Dot on Ear MS64PL PCGS #40157

A This is the VAM 14.6A "discovery coin", Not the original, but the one the world be the plate coin for the variety for LVA

A THE KING. Leroy Van Allen pedigree. MS60DMPL

1878 8TF $1 VAM 9 1st Die Pair MS62 PCGS #133792

A This coin is - in my opinion - a Specimen Die. There are no die cracks. There are very early lathe marks in the rim indicating one of the earliest strikes. The coin is PL to DMPL but toned lustrous black. This was Leroy Van Allen's coin and he had it listed as a Specimen as well.

A RG . This coin is quite dirty and could possibly upgrade

1878 8TF $1 VAM 14.17 Chip in Ear AU55 PCGS #133812

A This is the #2 coin in this variety. There is one AU58.

1878 8TF $1 VAM 14.17 Chip in Ear AU58 PCGS #133812

This is the Top Pop 14.17 and the ultra-stopper in the 8TF set. Not only is this coin AU58, it is also PL, but PCGS doesn't put PL designation on Circ Dollars, a Problem that needs to be resolved.

1878 8TF $1 VAM 14.19 Broken 8 XF45 PCGS #133814

A With exception of the Wonder coin UNC DMPL 14.19, this is the finest known example

A had this a while forgot to post

1888-O $1 VAM 4 Hot Lips PO1 PCGS #133919

A Coin from John G., my hero. Coin is a true BS0. That is, BASAL STATE 0. It has no date, no mintmark, but is identifyable by the lips. No other coin has "those lips". There is now a true PO1 out there, and guess who has it, Johnny G...
