About This Set: After twenty years, I've completed my collection of Barber Dimes, Quarters and Halves. The Barber dimes and halves are complete with only a few of the Barber Quarters still missing. All are original, naturally toned and have full strikes. I want to thanks David Akers who showed me the way. I would also like to thank Dale Friend and Peter Shireman for their knowledge regarding Barbers and their assistance in completing my collection. Also, I want to thank Stewart Blay for his great help and knowledge of Barber Dimes as well as helping me acquire some great coins for my collection and Doug Kurz for his great help and coins from his personal collection of Barber Quarters. Putting together a naturally toned, original Barber set is without a doubt, a tremendous challenge, but worth every bit of time and effort to acquire. My favorite coins from the sets are the Barber Halves! The PCGS Population report still shows after 23 years only a total of 1,612 Barber Halves have been certified MS65 or better of which a large % are 1892 and 1908-O coins. Only 3,186 Barber Dimes and 3,065 Barber Quarters have been certified by PCGS in 23 years in MS65 or better. Compare the population report of the 1904-S or the 1896-O Barber Half in MS65 or better to the 1893-S Morgan Dollar or 1921-S Liberty Walking Half! The Barber series is truly undervalued and great challenge!
