If you like pachyderms, you’ll love this set. Each coin features an elephant on the obverse and a variety of legends and shields on the reverse. The London issues include one rarity with a sword in the second quadrant of the shield. The Carolina issues of 1694 include one variety in which the final E of PROPRIETERS was over-punched with an O. The 1694 New England Elephant Token is a great rarity in any grade. Half of the eight coins in this set are affordable and easy to locate. The remaining four are "big game" that will add a lot of excitement to the hunt.
