This is an ambitious set, filled with interesting varieties and a couple of really tough types: the 1787 Liberty Seated Right (of which two are known), the 1787 GEORGIVS III obverse, and the 1788 Small Head. The rest of the coins can be found with relative ease, although nicer examples can be both elusive and expensive. Many of the varieties are interesting misspellings, overdates or unusual design types. Some of the more distinctive types are the 1785 African Head, the 1786 and 1787 "Hercules" Heads, and the 1787 "Muttonhead." Perhaps the most popular of all the Connecticut varieties is the 1787 "Horned Bust" which develops a progressively larger break in front of the bust that looks like a pointed horn. You could literally spend the rest of your life working on (and having fun with) this historic set.
