This set is loaded with rarities, most of which are pattern issues of extremely limited mintages. In fact, only the 1787 Immunis Columbia can be considered "common." A lot of die sharing went on in this series, so you’ll find Immune Columbia obverses muled with Nova Constellatio reverses, a George III obverse, and a Vermont obverse. The shield design on the back of some of the 1786 Immune Columbias was later used on New Jersey coppers! This is definitely not a "cookie-cutter" series – it’s filled with variety and intriguing historic designs.
