Beginning in 2006, the U.S. Mint began issuing $50 gold coins. These are the first .9999 fine 24-karat gold coins ever struck by the mint. Considered legal tender, the content and purity is guaranteed by the United States government. This set contains two coins of each year since 2006; one a certified PCGS First Strike™.
