Containing a half ounce of .9999 fine gold, the First Spouse Series carries a face value of $10 and are issued in conjunction with the Presidential dollars. Struck at West Point, they have not achieved widespread popularity, with mintages for some of the more recent issues under 2,000 pieces. Quality has been quite good however, with nearly all of the pieces certified being MS-69 or MS-70. To qualify for inclusion in this Specialty Set, all coins must part of the PCGS FIrst Strike™ program.
