American Buffalo Complete Gold Set First Strikes, Proof (2006-present)

Beginning in 2006, the U.S. Mint began issuing $50 gold coins. These are the first .9999 fine 24-karat gold coins ever struck by the mint. Considered legal tender, the content and purity is guaranteed by the United States government. To qualify for inclusion in this Specialty Set, all coins must part of the PCGS First Strike™ program. In addition, this set contains the Proof First Strikes™ from the three fractional pieces ($5, $10 and $25) struck in 2008.
